The Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) today welcomed its newly appointed 9th Executive Chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Liman, following his official assumption of duty.The reappointed Board, Dr. Aminu Aliyu Wushishi, led management and staff in receiving the new Chairman and his team. In his remarks, Dr. Wushishi described the appointment of Dr. Liman as “a round peg in the right hole,” noting that his extensive administrative experience from classroom teacher to headmaster, union leader, emergency manager, and ultimately Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service uniquely positions him to drive the transformation of basic education in the state.
He assured the Chairman of the staff’s readiness, loyalty, and unwavering support toward achieving the mandate of repositioning the basic education sub-sector in Niger State.
In his maiden address to the staff, Dr. Ibrahim A. Liman expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting him the honour of returning to lead an institution that shaped his early life and career. He appreciated Farmer Governor Umaru Bago for entrusting him once again with the opportunity to serve, pledging to consolidate on the gains already made in revitalising basic education across the state.
Dr. Liman reaffirmed his commitment to staff welfare and called on all personnel to redouble their efforts. He emphasized that excellence and dedication would be the guiding principles of his administration, adding that anyone found sabotaging the Board’s collective mission would not have a place in the success story ahead.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the new management team,the Board Member 1, Honourable Abraham Umar reiterated their collective determination to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor. He also called for the cooperation and support of all well-meaning Nigerlites as they embark on this important task.
The ceremony was filled with joy and high spirits as staff, family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate and welcome the new leadership team to NSUBEB.
